Overview

My name is Melodía J. Parker. I currently live in Baltimore, Maryland. I’m a writer and a poet.

I was born in West Germany. A few months after I was born, I then lived in West Berlin. I lived there for a while before coming to London, England. I only lived in London for about 6 months.

I came to the United States when I was 3 years old. I’ve been stuck here ever since, unless the Republicans finally deport me.

I’m a Gen X’er. That means I lived in the 20th century.

I’ve became a vegetarian in 1997. In 2020, I took it one step further and I became a vegan.

I meditate and practice yoga daily. I do strength training 5 times a week. I run a couple of times a week, if the weather is decent.

I speak English and Spanish fluently. I also speak some French.

I’m multicultural and multiethnic.

I could read and write in two languages by the time I was 3 years old. My love of reading and writing has been lifelong!

If you hate the fact that I’m a writer, then you’ll have to blame Stephen King. He’s the reason why I became a writer.

In March 2025, I decided to go back to school to take the 10 accounting classes that I need for CPA licensure. After I get my CPA license, I hope to become a Certified Fraud Examiner. I’m looking for one last career since I don’t think I’ll ever retire.
